Key dates for Summer term 2025

May

SATS week: Monday 12^th May

All tests will take place in the morning, with breaks in between the two papers on Monday and Wednesday. We will be finished all formal testing by 10:30am on Thursday.

Wednesday 21st May – Mr Mottram and Mr Whitehead (Brine Leas) will visit Weaver to meet the children and answer their questions. There will also be weekly videos and transition activities.

Thursday 22nd May -  Sports Day (KS2 – afternoon)

Friday 23rd May -  INSET Day

26^th May – 2nd June Half term (Monday 2^nd INSET Day)

June

Return to school on Tuesday 3^rd June. Rehearsals will start for our ‘end of year production’. A timetable for after school rehearsals (usually Tues and Thurs 3:15pm – 4:15pm) will be shared once we allocate parts.

Friday 20^th June – Summer Fair evening. The Y6 children will be creating a business and running their own stalls as part of a House-team project.

Week beginning 23rd June – Transition week for those heading to Brine Leas. The children will spend at least 2 full days at the high school (Wednesday 25^th and Thursday 26^th). Some pupils, who will be contacted by BLS SEND team separately, may have extra transition days on the Mon/Tues. There is no planned intake disco this year.

For those pupils heading to other High Schools, their admin teams will contact parents and carers with transition dates – please pass these on to me when you have them.

July

Thurs 10th July – 6:30pm evening performance of the Year 5/6 production

Friday 11th July – 1:30pm afternoon performance of the Y5/6 production. Although you are invited to both performances, if you can only attend one, this is the ‘special one’ where we celebrate the Year 6 leavers.

Wednesday 16^th to Friday 18^th July – York residential. Exciting times! After half term, I’ll get a date booked in for a York information session for parents and carers.

Tues 22^nd July – last day at Weaver for Year 6.
